What Is a Non-Invasive Fat Treatment?
When it comes to getting rid of unwanted fat, non-invasive (or minimally invasive) fat treatments require no surgery, use no anesthesia, and often require less downtime than traditional liposuction procedures. In other words, non-invasive fat treatments are topical rather than surgical.
Because of this, the non-invasive fat treatments offered by Dr. Falcone and The Falcone Center for Functional, Cosmetic, and Integrative Medicine can provide many of the same body contouring benefits as traditional liposuction techniques, but with less of any impact on your daily life. What are some common non-invasive fat treatments? Let’s take a look.
More About SculpSure™ Non-Invasive Fat Treatment
Created by Cynosure, SculpSure™ is an FDA-cleared device that uses innovative light-based technology to help sculpt the flank and abdominal areas of your body. In many instances, the simple and efficient SculpSure™ system can treat multiple areas in as little as 25 minutes using a flat, non-suction applicator design*.
In clinical trials, SculpSure™ has been shown to reduce fat volume by up to 24% in a single treatment*. Since SculpSure™ is a non-invasive fat treatment, you’ll only experience minimal pain with no downtime required.
Cellulaze™: Minimally Invasive Treatment For Cellulite
Cellulaze™ is a clinically proven laser-assisted procedure that increases the thickness of your skin and loosens the connective tissue bands under your skin that can lead to the appearance of cellulite.
Although Cellulaze™ isn’t non-invasive, it is minimally invasive, lasts anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours, and only involves tiny incisions about the size of the tip of a pen*. Dr. Falcone will then insert a laser fiber into a cannula to liquefy fat, which is gently pressed out.
After your Cellulaze™ procedure, you might experience some bruising and discomfort, and may need to wear compression garments. After a couple days, you should be able to go back to work, although you’ll want to abstain from physical activity for a couple weeks*.
Similar to Cellulaze™, VASERSmooth™ is an accessory used by The Falcone Center for Functional, Cosmetic, and Integrative Medicine to emulsify fat. But, instead of using lasers sent through a fiber, VASERSmooth™ uses ultrasonic, high-energy waves sent through a pen-like device. Basically, these waves break up the underlying structure that causes the skin to dimple, resulting in a smoother, firmer appearance.
Unlike Cellulaze™ though, VASERSmooth™ anti-cellulite treatments are often completed much faster, although you’ll still likely experience about the same amount of downtime.
Cynosure’s PrecisionTX™ technology uses a side-firing laser to treat excess fat in the neck area and to tighten skin, with the goal of rejuvenating the lower face and jowls. As such, PrecisionTX™ is especially useful for addressing double chin concerns.
Compared to surgery, PrecisionTX™ won’t provide as dramatic results. But, if you’re experiencing modest neck or face aging, the temperature control ThermaGuide™ system might be able to provide the results you’re looking for.
As you might imagine, how much you’ll pay for a non-invasive fat treatment depends on the specific procedure you’ve agreed upon with Dr. Falcone, your diagnosis, and the overall results you’re looking to achieve.
