lymphatic tissue massage is used to assist the body’s lymph system, a major part of the immune system, with the drainage of toxins and fluid. A lymphatic drainage massage is usually a gentle treatment that guides toxins towards the lymph nodes for waste removal.
Lymphatic drainage massage can…
Reduce fluid retention
Facilitate tissue healing and pain reduction after surgery or injury
Revitalize the body
Assist in detoxification
Stimulate immune function promoting overall health.
What is the Lymphatic System?
The lymphatic system is a network of fluids, nodes, organs, vessels, glands, and ducts that continuously cleanse the body of waste matter. Through a series of processes, lymphatic fluid takes waste from the cells so that it can be broken down and eliminated from the body.
Who can benefit?
Swedish massage is a light, gentle pressure massage used to improve circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation. It employs five different movements: long, gliding strokes, kneading of individual muscles, friction, tapping, and vibration. Swedish Massage increases oxygen to tissues and assists in releasing toxins from muscles.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage can be used pre or post event for athletes who want to restore or maintain muscular health. It will stimulate circulation of blood, which will increase the level of oxygen in targeted muscles. It can improve mobility, and range of motion as it will reduce spasm. Massage will reduce muscle soreness by increasing removal of lactic acid and toxins from the muscle which will reduce pain from injury. Deep Tissue Massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain and soreness in both large and small muscle groups.
